May is officially the 12th month in my bullet journal.
I started the month May in my third bullet journal. After completing my two previous bullet journals, I thought it would be easy to start in a new one, but actually I felt pretty nervous. There’s just something about a new bullet journal that makes me kinda afraid to dive in. A new chance, a new opportunity to maybe make it “perfect” this time.
I don’t think bullet journals need to be perfect at all, but I guess I’m sort of a perfectionist.
For this bullet journal I decided to go with a calendex instead of the usual month overview. I must say I like it. It gives me a great overview of all the important events and dates in different aspects of my life.
For the month May I decided to go with a moon theme, as I’m currently reading the book ‘Lunar Abundance‘ by Ezzie Spencer as part of the Boho Berry Book Club. Kara Benz is a fantastic bullet journalist and I can’t wait to read the upcoming Book Club reads!

My monthly pages I did the same as every other month, including monthly grid view and a monthly overview divided in 2 columns: one for personal appointments and tasks and one for school. On the other side I included a habit and a mood tracker.
For the moons I used washi tape, some of the moons I’ve cut out to get a more asymmetrical feel.

For my weeklies I decided to do the same every week.
I’ve cut out little round shapes out of black paper and with a white gel pen I added little dots to make each moon different according to the moon phase of that specific day. It took me a lot of time but it was very satisfying and I’m very happy with the result!
