Good day, ya’ll!
Today I’m going to show you how to draw a bee in 7 easy steps and how I used the Tim Holtz Honeycomb stencil for my June bullet journal setup.
I’m so exited about this post, because I did something that’s completely new and out of my comfort zone: I made videos!
Before we get started, I’m gonna show you all the materials I used.
❶ Crayola Supertip Markers • ❷ Stamping Tool • ❸ Tim Holtz Distress Ink • ❹Tim Holtz Honeycomb Stencil • ❺ Winsor & Newton Watercolors • ❻ Waterbrush • ❼ Micron Fineliners
Bee Drawing Tutorial
Oh my god, guys! First video I’ve ever made! I’m super excited!!!
I’ve put a lot of time in this, but I know I can do better and I’m going to experiment more with videos in the future. I’m left handed, so the video might not be very clear, but I’ve added a step by step tutorial too 😉 Enjoy!
[wpvideo jd737AKO]How I used the Honeycomb Stencil to set up my weeklies for June
As you could see in this blogpost, I’ve shown you my bullet journal setup for June and how I created all kinds of different weekly setups.
In this video I want to show you how I used the honeycomb stencil and different materials to create the patterns.
1. Honeycomb stencil + Distress Ink in the color ‘Scattered Straw’
Here I used the stencil in combination with Distress ink and a stamping tool. It creates a beautiful effect.
2. Honeycomb stencil + Watercolors
For the second pattern I created I used the stencil + watercolors in the colors yellow and light brown. In my bullet journal I didn’t use a micron pen, but a pencil. You can use whatever you like best.
3. Honeycomb stencils + Crayola Supertips
Third method I used was very simple too. I used a micron pen to trace the pattern and then used Crayola Supertip markers in different kinds of yellows and oranges to color them in.
Suuuuuuper easy, right?!
I hope you enjoyed this post! I’m planning on making more videos including a bullet journal flip-trough and tutorials on how I make actual spreads in my bullet journal. Please let me know what you think!
